I know people very rarely leave reviews unless something bad happened and never about a government entity, but I feel like Ms. Fuqua deserves recognition. While getting in touch with the Defensive Driving people is impossible (left multiple messages and no-one ever called me back) after numerous phone calls I found Ms. Fuqua on accident and asked if she could help me reschedule my DD Class without having to drive all the way down to the courthouse. She was more than willing to accommodate me and was incredibly nice about it. Service like this is so rare nowadays, nice to see some folks in our local government believe in helping others. Thanks Ms. Fuqua!!
With one exception, the magistrate clerks are rude, abrupt, and not very helpful. I received a traffic ticket which I was told was payable online. Two weeks later, it still wasn't showing up in the system for me to pay. When I called the magistrate's office, they had no explanation other than to tell me to "call back tomorrow." On my third day of calling the office, April (a very helpful clerk) investigated the issue, escalated to her supervisor, and called me back within an hour to inform me that my ticket was then payable. What I can't understand is how one clerk can be so polite and helpful while the rest have personalities of coarse sandpaper. I suppose they take the attitude that we require their services and that they can treat us as they please.
