I'm in Best Buy at least once a week. I was really disappointed to see Best Buy shut down the Alabaster location. However, a lot of the employees from the alabaster location are now working at the Hoover location. This is a major plus for the Hoover store. Well I enjoy internet shopping, there's nothing like the convenience of being able to walk into your local Best Buy and actually get your hands on the product, test it out, and have it same day.
Did not honor a trade in value that I had saved online, even after I showed them the email that said my value was guaranteed for the next 7 days. This was after being transferred 5 times and placed on hold for over 45 minutes. I am an elite member and normally shop a good bit at Best Buy. I will definitely be changing that for such poor customer service.
I have shipped here many times before and spent thousands on appliances. Yesterday I went to replace a washer purchased here 13 years ago. The sales rep continued repeating corporate line about how "we price match but do not cut prices just to make a sale". Manager called over and he reinforced same line. We left and will not be back. They have made price adjustments several times in past on several things I have purchased to keep my business. Now they have lost it. Went to Home Depot and purchased same washer cheaper. Better customer service. Personnel actually seemed interested in helping me. GOOD BY BEST BUY!!!
I used to love this place but the prices are high compared to Amazon of course. I still like looking around here for ideas. They do sometimes have some great deals on Bluray Movies. Most of the time you can get someone to help you. The geek squad desk is a joke with very long lines most of the time and bad attitudes from management.
Got my shopkicks! Employee helped check my tire for a leak. Helped me as a human being. It was wonderful !
