I purchased laptop from them this evening and when I got home to use it I couldn't because the PREVIOUS owner's I.D. was still programmed to the laptop. The employee didn't even give me a password or ANYTHING to unlock it. Now I have to wait until the store opens to find out IF I can unlock it. I've dealt with rent a center before and to my understanding the PREVIOUS owner's information should have been wiped clean when they received it back. Now I don't feel like my information would be kept private at all with them and sadly I'm considering bringing the laptop back in the morning.
My stepfather purchased a TV from them, which ended up being defective. They kept giving him a different model while they "fixed" the original television. They never fixed it and in the end they said they would not replace it and that my stepfather was a liar and he was the only one complaining. I would not recommend dealing with these folks.
